A Week of Photography 18: My Best Shots
A Visual Journey Through Rovinj: Street Photography, Urban Details & Coastal Scenes
The photographs were taken last Sunday, on the final day of my two-day weekend work commitments in the beautiful Croatian town of Rovinj, located on the coast of the Istrian Peninsula.
As soon as everything was wrapped up, I changed into casual clothes, grabbed my Fujifilm XH2 with a 16-80mm f4 lens, and drove to the city center.
The day was sunny and beautiful, and I was shooting purely for the joy of it. I usually don’t use a zoom lens for street photography, so this was a new experience that reignited my childlike playfulness and curiosity. I photographed everything I wanted, without pressure or obligations – completely free.
What a wonderful day!
And now, here are the photos…

The two cats are great and like the other comment I really like the island framed by the bird's wings. The 16-80 is a great inexpensive lens. It's stabilization is great and makes up for only going to f4 in still scenes.
Like them all, but the one with the bird taking off, V-shaped wings framing the island in the distance, made me immediately stop. That's my favourite.
