This past week, I had the privilege of spending time on the breathtaking island of Hvar in Croatia—a place that feels like a true paradise on Earth. Using black-and-white photography, I sought to capture the unique atmosphere and timeless beauty of the island, hoping to evoke the emotions and essence of this special destination through each image. Hope you enjoy it:)
When I saw this man who reminds me of Willie Nelson, I had to take a picture of him. I asked him, and luckily, he agreed.
When I saw these fishermen cleaning rays on the pier by the sea, I had to take a picture of them. I asked them, and luckily, they also agreed.
A man with a dog.
The rope was released, and the ferry set off.
A pier with pronounced texture.
A man enjoys sitting on a beautiful pebbled beach on the southern side of Hvar.
The play of light and shadow, as well as the texture, make this photograph particularly interesting.
A bollard for mooring boats, with a rope tied to it. The richness of different textures is what attracts me to this image
The dog and the wooden stool nicely fill this frame.
Gentleness and beauty…
All photographs were taken by Davor Katusic using a Fujifilm X-E4 with a 27mm F2.8 lens.
