Exploring the Abandoned Hospital: A Photography Adventure
Discover the Hidden Beauty of Ruins: Capturing Stunning Shots in an Abandoned Zagreb Hospital
If there is one thing that connects my most intriguing endeavors throughout life, it is the spirit of adventure and exploration. Fortunately, I chose a hobby—photography—that offers these in abundance. This time, I decided to venture into the never-completed University Hospital in Blato, Zagreb (Croatia), in search of excitement and compelling subjects.
Construction of the hospital began in the late 1980s but was abruptly halted due to the war. The funds initially allocated for its completion were redirected for other purposes. As a result, the hospital remains unfinished to this day, standing as a stark reminder of times gone by and a failed project.
Despite being in complete ruins, the hospital is a fascinating destination for adventurers, paintball and softball enthusiasts, and photographers like me.
I hope you’ll enjoy this brief adventurous journey!
