You: A Projector's Projection
A lyrical and visual meditation on perception and the creation of meaning
Projection
It is something emitted,
Something that goes out of something.
In cinema,
a movie goes out of the projector.
Therefore, it is a projection.
A projector’s projection.
A waterfall,
flowing so gracefully –
a projection.
The spring’s projection.
Sunrays passing through clouds,
landing softly on the field —
a projection,
the sun’s projection.
What about this vapor?
Where does it project from?
Of course, from something down below–
the origin of its projection.
Saying someone was mean,
rude, or inconsiderate –
That’s a projection as well.
A mind’s projection.
A tree is a projection.
A border is a projection.
Inside and outside — projections.
Beauty and ugliness — all projections.
“I am” is a projection.
Birth and death — projections as well.
“God” is a projection too —
sorry for that.
“This guy is crazy” —
needless to say?
A projection.
Now, let’s use the little gist
to unfold the cloudy mist.
The source of it all
is the one your name would call.
It wasn’t sun,
projector,
or any of that.
By using your mind —
all was set.
And so I wonder:
Could it be
that nothing exists
outside our mind’s skillful twists?
It certainly does.
But not as things
we are accustomed to see.
Rather –
something we are meant to be.
One.
A friendly hug. 😉
All photos I took with the love of pure existence.
A cup, though emptied, holds the infinite potential to be filled again—and you can fill it up, if you please. Thank you for your support. 💛
