Dear Holly, you don’t have to thank me because we are both contributors to our wonderful interaction. I look forward to further mutual reading and online socializing.:)
What a kind and considerate post! And thanks for mentioning me as well, together with these fine people who are definitely worthy of all the beautiful words.
I, too, am happy about the sense of community we get here on Substack. It is different from most other places, maybe because we all have something in common: we are all writers, one kind or another. We enjoy writing, and we understand how other writers feel about it.
Yet, there are so many different people here who can give so many different reading experiences, and different feedback, so there is always something more to discover than merely the texts.
It is good to see your posts, and all the wonderful photos you share. Your way of thinking also resonates with me, no wonder, it goes both ways :) I like the positive view you have on people, and the way you see the world with curiosity and a wish to understand it. That's the nature of people who have found a way in life that gives room for the calmness needed to think and wonder.
Looking forward to many more posts from you, and a lot more of this valuable community building.
Davor, I am so deeply honored and flattered by your kind and thoughtful words. For you to put this kind of detailed and compassionate effort into showing gratitude to four writers and friends shows a unique ability to empathize and to exercise the exact behavior you saw in me: "to shift the focus away from himself and onto others, bringing out their best essence." You clearly only recognize such an ability in another because you embody it yourself. I can see it in both your writing and in your photography!
I read each of your gratitudes separately and carefully. I look forward to clicking the links and learning more about your wonderful friends.
Dear Don, thank you for your kind words. I’m truly glad that you inspire me to write about you in this way, as well as about the other three friends, because when I first started here, I was literally alone, and all my posts and notes were practically invisible. I’m looking forward to the mutual exchange that lies ahead of us :)
I found you through Don’s note and I’m loving your recommendations and the way you shared them. Thank you for taking the time to curate this list for us!
Well said!
I also joined SubStack a couple of months ago at the suggestion of the Neuropsychiatric.
At a time of an unexpected and uncertain future, I have found a very supportive and caring community.
Thank you for your comment. At first, it may seem that everything is futile, but over time, things can improve.:)
So grateful for you, friend. I think we're going to learn a lot from each other. What a beautiful thing.
